South Manasota Key Association (SMKA) Purpose

SMKA, Inc., is a Florida not-for-profit corporation.
The purpose of this social corporation is to provide an action forum for those with a
vested interest in the maintenance, enhancement, and beautification of South Manasota Key.

South Manasota Key is defined as the area from the Charlotte County border line (on the North)
to the southern tip of the Island.
It also includes all property to the West end of the Tom Adams Bridge and Sand Piper Key.

SMKA Meetings

Regular member meetings are held in November, January, and either March or April.
Meetings are normally held on Manasota Key at a location that is announced prior to each meeting.
Meetings are open to the general public; however, only members with dues paid are allowed to vote
on association issues.

Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU) Meetings


MSTU's meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. (EST).
Don Pease is the presiding chairman.
Meetings are located at the Gulf To Bay office or Recreation Hall.
Meetings are open to the public.
Residents, Business Owners, and Business Managers are welcome to attend and share their concerns.
